Analyses - Analyses packages
Depending on the application and/or the condition of the samples, we offer specific analyses for fresh lubricants, specially designed used oils analyses packages for marine, industrial, automotive (PCMO and Heavy Duty) or off-road equipment
(details here) and marine fuels i.a.w. ISO 8217 (details here).
Sample Kits
Melco labs provide the customers with sample kits which contain all necessary means of a proper sampling:
-
Sample bottles
-
Bottle labels
-
Sampling instructions
-
Sampling report card
See here.
Sampling
Sampling is performed by the customer, according to the instructions provided in the sample kits. The samples must be sent to the lab as soon as possible. Melco Labs can also offer sampling services, upon request.
Receiving of samples
Upon arrival, samples are given a unique ID number and entered into the lab's database, thus securing traceability and retrieval of data concerning the maintenance history of the equipment.
Results
The results of the analyses are indicative of both the lubricants and the equipment condition. Subsequent evaluation, using also the historical analysis data of the same equipmnent, may identify possible wear trends and prevent otherwise catastrophic failures.
Lab reports
Complete and easy-to-read lab reports are produced within 2-3 days after receipt of the samples and sent to the customers by email or fax. See a draft report here.
